Java Testing Weekly - The End

I decided to stop publishing my testing newsletter because I noticed that I didn't enjoy writing it anymore. It was just something that had to be done.

Also, I noticed that finding good blog posts started to take longer and longer. One of the biggest reasons for this is that most people don't publish new blog posts on a regular basis because they aren't paid to do so. This is (obviously) a huge problem because my newsletter was basically just a curated list of blog posts.

When I realized these two things, it was obvious that I must stop wasting your time by publishing something that isn't worth reading. I want to thank everyone who read this newsletter during the last three years and I hope that my newsletter helped you to learn something useful.

There is a saying that goes: "Every cloud has a silver lining". This is true in this case as well because now I have more time to write my own blog posts. To be more specific, I will write a new version of my Spring MVC Test tutorial.

Stay tuned.

Thanks for the many interesting links over the past years. Do you have a list of testing blogs that you can recommend to follow?

    • Petri Aug 19, 2019 @ 20:41

      You are welcome.

You could start following the testing feed provided by Ministry of Testing. I used this feed when I wrote my newsletter and I am still following it.

On other hand, if you want read technical blog posts, you should start reading Billy Korando's blog. He concentrates on writing about automated testing, but occasionally he writes about other topics as well.
